Bamboo Panel Container Loading Calculator
Plan panels with their pallets. Enter packed dimensions, weight and stacking limits, explore the load in 3D, and carry the complete specification into your quote request.
Configure your load
Add panels and check the pallet examples below. The estimate updates as you go.
Forklift & lifting method
The 2.5 t / 500 mm example is reduced for a longer load centre. For an actual load-chart value, use the lowest applicable capacity across all panel sizes, lift heights and attachments in this order.
Separate lifts check each pallet; a complete-stack lift checks the combined gross weight against both forklift and bottom-pallet handling limits. Fork length, pallet entry, mast clearance and loading access still require an equipment check.
Container limits & clearance
Clearance is reserved at the walls, between floor positions and above the stack. Confirm the actual container, payload and handling clearance with your forwarder.

Container breakdown

Indicative pallet loading estimate using the entered package and forklift limits. A load-moment estimate does not replace the actual forklift load chart. Gross cargo includes panels and entered packing tare; container tare is excluded. Confirm packing ratings, equipment, securing and loading access before booking.
How container loading for bamboo plywood works
Container capacity depends on packed dimensions, gross weight and stacking limits. A 2440 × 1220 × 9 mm sheet at the 700 kg/m³ example density weighs about 18.8 kg. Each pallet adds base height and packing weight; use custom outer dimensions when protection projects beyond the sheet.
Each pallet’s gross weight stays within the lower of its handling limit and the forklift capacity for the entered load centre. Stacking uses either the entered tier allowance or a known weight-above rating, together with door height and payload. Matching pallets stay aligned; no overlapping or angled nesting is assumed.
Pallet starting values: the footprint follows the sheet size. The 120 mm base uses the upper end of the 100–120 mm range in Paged’s plywood packaging data; this is a reference for panel pallets, not an HTR specification. Adjust the 30 kg packing estimate for the actual pallet and protection. The 1,020 mm loaded-height example allows 900 mm of panels above a 120 mm base. The 1,760 kg handling limit remains an editable packing assumption.
Forklift estimate: Toyota’s truck specifications include the 2.5 t / 500 mm example. Following the OSHA load-moment method, estimated capacity = rated kg × min(1, rated centre ÷ actual centre). A 2440 mm deep load has an assumed 1220 mm centre, giving about 1,024 kg, rather than the full 2,500 kg rating. Actual lift height, attachments, fork support and access must be checked. Use load-chart mode when the applicable residual capacity is known.
Stacking allowance: HTR normally uses 3–4 tiers for suitable packed panels. The calculator starts with a 3-tier allowance, including the bottom pallet; 4 tiers can be selected. Height, payload and lifting limits can reduce the actual number. By tiers uses this layer allowance without assigning a kg bearing rating. In By weight mode, enter the combined gross weight the loaded package can support on top; 0 means no stacking, and Auto finds tiers within that rating and the available height. A complete-stack lift also checks total stack weight against forklift and bottom-pallet handling limits. The IMO/ILO/UNECE CTU Code calls for adequate supporting strength and compliance with package stacking markings. Use the stacking allowance for the actual packed order.
Planning assumptions: density estimates remain 700 kg/m³ for laminated bamboo and 1,100 kg/m³ for strand-woven. Full-pallet sheet counts round down to a multiple of five when at least five fit; the final pallet carries the exact remainder. The initial payload assumptions are 19.5 t (20ft) and 26 t (40ft / HC), and can be edited. Door examples use standard-container and high-cube reference dimensions; actual equipment varies. The full stack stays below the entered door height with clearance. This is a conservative geometric estimate, not an approved or optimal stuffing plan.
